A Guide to Navigating the iRacing Setup Screens
Confused by all the tabs, numbers, and sliders? Let’s make sense of iRacing’s setup menus.
New to iRacing setups? Here’s how to find and use the setup screen like a pro.
🚪 How to Access the Setup Screen
- Join any session (practice, race, etc.)
- Press
ESC
→ Click “Garage” - The setup screen opens on the Summary tab
🧭 Main Tabs in the Garage
🔹 1. Summary
- Overview of current settings
- Tyre pressures, wings, ride heights
🔹 2. Chassis
- Suspension settings: springs, dampers, ARBs, ride height
🔹 3. Drivetrain
- Gear ratios, differential, final drive
🔹 4. Tyres
- Cold pressure settings (check hot values after driving)
🔹 5. Brakes
- Brake bias and brake pressure
🔹 6. Aero
- Wing angles and downforce-related settings
🔁 Setup File Options
- Load Setup – Load saved setups
- Save Setup – Save your current setup
- Reset to Default – Revert to iRacing baseline
- Apply – Apply your changes (don’t forget this!)
